Lahore – Punjab’s Caretaker Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, unveiled plans for a substantial upgrade to Lahore’s Lorry Adda, a bus stand in the provincial capital.
The Chief Minister emphasized the dire state of the current bus stand, vowing to convert it into an airport-style terminal through a Rs9 billion project.
This modern terminal, set to occupy the same Badami Bagh location as the existing lorry adda, will boast state-of-the-art amenities, including designated bus bays, restrooms, and spacious waiting areas.
Additionally, the government intends to erect a multi-story parking plaza spanning 46 canals within the upcoming terminal, estimated to cost Rs4 billion.
Deputy Commissioner Rafia Haider of Lahore has called for a meeting involving pertinent departments to devise an execution strategy for this ambitious project, aiming to revamp and elevate the transportation hub’s infrastructure.
