Today, on Tuesday, the Karachi stock market resumed trading after the long weekend, maintaining the positive momentum witnessed on Friday. Within the first hour of trading, the market saw a gain of 265 points, with the index reaching 63,268.28 points around 10 AM.
Last Friday marked a notable uptick for the benchmark KSE-100 index, which opened at 62,393.73 points and closed at 63,002.91 points by the end of the trading day.

Similarly, on Wednesday, the eve of the general elections, the market displayed positivity and stability. Opening at 63,799.01 points, the index experienced gradual growth, reaching 64,118.66 points by 11 AM, reflecting an increase of 319.65 points from the opening level.
The early growth in the index primarily stemmed from Exploration and Production (E&P) companies, a trend that persisted into today’s trading session. Notably, despite trading in the red yesterday, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) rebounded today, contributing to the overall positive sentiment in the market.
