An earthquake struck Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Swat, Waziristan, Lower Dir, and other parts of northwestern Pakistan on Wednesday.
Tremors were also felt in Parachinar, Mardan, Kohat, and surrounding districts. According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.7 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter in the Hindukush region.

The strong tremors prompted people to evacuate their homes and recite prayers.
Currently, there are no reports of casualties or property damage caused by the earthquake.
