The Pakistan Army has successfully rescued seven mountaineers, including three Russians and four Pakistanis, from a height of 20,100 feet in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The climbers were suffering from high-altitude sickness and were promptly saved by Army helicopters following a rescue request.

The mountaineers expressed their gratitude to the Pakistan Army for their assistance.
Earlier in late July, the Army also rescued six foreign climbers from K2, known as the “Savage Mountain.” These climbers from the US, Chile, Macedonia, and Nepal had called for help due to high-altitude sickness at their base camp.
One Macedonian climber, who was at risk of frostbite and acute mountain sickness, praised the Pakistan military for their timely rescue.
