Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan announced that significant progress has been made in discussions with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman regarding the 26th Constitutional Amendment. A final decision will be made after consulting PTI founder Imran Khan.
Following a recent meeting in Islamabad, Barrister Gohar expressed optimism about reaching a consensus, noting that the discussions have solidified the understanding between the parties. He stated that once the PTI’s position is finalized, they will seek guidance from Imran Khan before making any announcements.

Representatives from both PTI and JUI-F participated in the Special Parliamentary Committee discussions on the amendment, laying the groundwork for negotiations. Barrister Gohar emphasized the importance of the ongoing dialogue in shaping Pakistan’s future political framework.
Meanwhile, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari attended a separate meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, although no discussions regarding the draft amendment occurred during that interaction. This ongoing political dialogue reflects the urgency for consensus on the constitutional amendments.
