Karachi Man Arrested for Killing Four Female Members Over TikTok Videos

In the early hours of Saturday, four female family members were discovered murdered in their apartment in Lea Market, prompting widespread panic in Karachi. The police reported that they swiftly arrested a close relative, identified as Muhammad Bilal Kutchi, in connection with the quadruple homicide.

According to City SSP Arif Aziz, the victims—Shamshad Farooq, 60; her daughters Madiha, 21, and Ayesha Sameer, 20; and granddaughter Alina Razzaq, 12—were found with slit throats in separate rooms of their seventh-floor flat at Zainab Arcade, Bantwa Street.

Investigators believe Bilal killed his mother, sister, sister-in-law, and niece out of anger over their TikTok videos, which he deemed immodest.

The bodies were sent to Dr. Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy, where it was noted that deep cuts were found on their necks, indicating the victims may have been incapacitated beforehand.

Muhammad Farooq, Shamshad’s husband, discovered the scene after returning from work to find the apartment locked. His son, Ali, managed to open the door, revealing the tragic outcome.

DIG-South Syed Asad Raza confirmed that Bilal was arrested near Native Jetty Bridge with knife wounds on his hands and confessed to the crime, expressing that his family’s behavior on social media had led to his wife’s separation.

Following the incident, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Home Minister Zia Lanjar directed the police to ensure swift justice.
