BRICS Summit Poised to Surprise the World: Faisal Muhammed

Putin Signals Strength Amid Ukraine Conflict

The BRICS summit, hosted under the leadership of Russian President Vladimir Putin, is the largest diplomatic event Russia has organized in years, sending a strong message to the West amidst the ongoing Ukraine war. Speaking to Pakistani news outlet ‘News Guru’, International Mediator and head of World Peace Mission Faisal Muhammed noted that this summit offers Putin an opportunity to demonstrate that Russia is far from isolated, despite Western sanctions. He added that Pakistan could benefit from joining the BRICS alliance but must first adjust its foreign policy and distance itself from Western influence.

India-China Relations Take Positive Turn

A key development during the summit, according to Faisal, was the long-awaited meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Their discussions signaled a potential thaw in relations between the two traditional rivals, suggesting that their prolonged border disputes could finally be headed toward resolution. The easing of tensions between these two BRICS giants represents a diplomatic victory for the bloc and reduces the risk of external powers exploiting the rivalry.

BRICS Expands Global Influence

Faisal highlighted the importance of BRICS’ growing influence, with Russian President Putin strengthening ties with Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian, challenging Western geopolitical dominance. The inclusion of the UN Secretary General and the interest of many nations seeking to join the bloc further underscores BRICS’ evolving role in reshaping the global order. Faisal hinted that the summit’s outcomes could surprise the world, signaling a significant shift in global power dynamics.
