Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), claimed that Israel, with backing from the United States, is seeking to extend conflict across the Middle East. He condemned the recent Israeli airstrikes on Iran, calling them a serious threat to regional stability.
In a social media statement, Hafiz Naeem labelled the airstrikes as part of an “expansionist mindset” by Israel. He urged Muslim nations to unite in response to the growing tensions in the region.
The airstrikes came after an Iranian missile attack, with reports of multiple explosions in Tehran. The strikes prompted Iran to close its airspace, leading to rerouted civilian flights.
Saudi Arabia, along with the UAE and Qatar, condemned the strikes and called for diplomacy to ease tensions.
