Urdu ballots will be accessible in Chicago for the upcoming U.S. presidential election, facilitating easier participation for Urdu-speaking voters. This initiative aims to ensure that all voters, regardless of their language proficiency, can exercise their right to vote.

As reported by Geo News, the Urdu ballot papers will be available alongside English ballots on November 5. Early voting has already begun in many states, and this new provision is specifically designed for Urdu-speaking individuals who may struggle with English, ensuring they can fully participate in the electoral process as mandated by U.S. law.

The Chicago Board of Elections has confirmed that multiple polling stations in the city will provide Urdu ballot papers. Additionally, each location will have a voting machine equipped with a French language option and audio ballots to further assist voters. Voters are also welcome to bring an interpreter to aid them in casting their votes.

This move is a significant step toward inclusivity in the electoral process, reflecting the diversity of the voter base in Chicago.
