Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Karachi for a day-long visit, where he inaugurated the new faceless customs assessment system aimed at enhancing the efficiency and transparency of the customs clearance process. Upon his arrival at Faisal Air Base, Sharif was welcomed by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
As part of his visit, the Prime Minister attended a ceremony at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), celebrating the PSX surpassing the significant milestone of 100,000 points. This achievement reflects positive investor sentiment and economic stability under the current administration.

Sharif also toured the South Asian Port Terminal, where he received a briefing on the newly implemented faceless customs assessment system. This automated system is expected to reduce customs clearance times and improve transparency, ensuring smoother trade and business operations at the port. The introduction of the system followed a directive from Prime Minister Sharif during an earlier visit to Karachi.
In addition to these engagements, the Prime Minister held discussions with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on key matters related to the province’s development and governance.
