Schools across Punjab will reopen on January 13 after the winter holidays, with the Department of Special Education implementing revised school timings to address the ongoing cold wave. Special education institutions, which have been closed since December 20, will resume operations on Monday. The new timings will see schools opening at 9:00 AM and closing at 2:00 PM from Monday to Thursday and Saturday, while on Fridays, schools will close earlier at 12:00 PM.

To help students cope with the chilly temperatures, the department has relaxed uniform requirements for students in special educational institutions. This relaxation will remain in effect from January 13 until February 15, allowing students to dress more warmly during the cold months.
All public and private schools in Punjab are also set to reopen on January 13, as the provincial government has not announced any further extensions to the winter holidays. Despite the ongoing cold conditions, classes are expected to proceed as planned.
