Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, have restructured their legal team for the Toshakhana case, omitting key lawyers affiliated with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Prominent names in the revamped lineup include Barristers Salman Akram Raja, Salman Safdar, and Usman Riaz Gul, alongside legal experts such as Chaudhry Zaheer Abbas, Arshad Tabrez, and Qausain Faisal Mufti.
The team also features Khalid Mehmood Yousaf, Chaudhry Ishtiaq, Abu Zar Niazi, Rai Salman Amjad, Shoaib Shaheen, Sardar Qadeer, Ali Ijaz Butter, and Mishal Yousafzai.

Notably absent are prominent PTI-linked lawyers like Faisal Chaudhry, Barrister Gohar, and Sher Afzal Marwat. Their exclusion has sparked speculation about a shift in legal strategy as the case progresses.
The Toshakhana case focuses on allegations concerning gifts received during Imran Khan’s tenure as Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan has directed PTI’s negotiation team to withdraw from talks with the government if a judicial commission is not formed within seven days. Speaking outside Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar reiterated the urgency of the commission for meaningful dialogue.
