In a historic move, the Inspector General (IG) of Sindh Police has directed the rebranding of the Sindh police band with a newly designed uniform, created by a prominent fashion designer. Currently, each unit of the police band has its own distinct uniform, many of which have not changed since the British Raj era. The new uniforms will provide a unified and modern look.
The revamped police band will feature slim and sharp personnel, skilled in playing traditional brass and pipe instruments. This modernization effort is part of the broader initiative to enhance the image and performance of the Sindh police band.

A review meeting regarding this transformation was recently held at the Central Police Office, chaired by IG Ghulam Nabi Memon. High-ranking officials, including the DIG Headquarters, Training, AIG Logistics, Commandant Shahid Hayat of the Police Training School Saeedabad, and officers from the SBB Elite Police Training Centre Razaqabad, participated in the discussions.
The meeting provided a comprehensive overview of the Sindh Police Bands, touching on topics like uniforms, available musical instruments, recruitment policies, and workforce details. This rebranding initiative is seen as a step towards preserving tradition while introducing a modern touch.
