FBI Blocks Dozens of Pakistani Websites Selling Fraud Tools

The FBI and the US Department of Justice have successfully disrupted a Pakistani cybercrime network responsible for selling fraudulent tools, marking a significant operation to combat ongoing cybercrime activities.

The investigation, led by the FBI Houston Field Office, revealed that at least 39 Pakistani websites were involved in selling phishing kits and other fraud tools. The network, led by Saim Raza, known online as “HeartSender,” had been active for nearly five years.

These websites offered various malicious tools, including phishing kits, scam pages, and email extractors, which were sold to transnational criminal organizations.

The tools facilitated business email compromise (BEC) schemes, defrauding US companies of over $3 million.

In addition to selling these tools, the group provided instructional videos, making it easier for criminals with minimal technical skills to exploit victims. The tools were marketed as undetectable by anti-spam software, enhancing their effectiveness in fraudulent activities.
