Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi clarified that individuals seeking migration to other countries will not be sent back to Afghanistan but instead will have their cases addressed with the relevant countries’ authorities.

This move is part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to manage its Afghan refugee population, which has a long history dating back to the 1979 Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

The repatriation is focused on those without legal residency in Pakistan, and the deportation process is being carried out through the Torkham border, one of the primary crossing points between the two nations.
