Ramadan Relief: Fair Price Shops to Be Established in Islamabad

To provide financial relief to citizens during Ramadan, the Islamabad district administration has announced the establishment of 17 fair price shops across the city.

These shops will offer essential food items at wholesale prices, ensuring affordability for residents, as reported by News Guru.

Strategically selected locations include G-9 Centre, I-8, F-8, E-11, F-10, F-11, G-13, and Barakahu, along with Bhara Kahu, Bani Gala, Pakistan Town, F-7, F-6, G-6, G-7, Lehtarar Road, and I-11/4.

To ensure smooth operations, the Islamabad administration has assigned Assistant Commissioners to oversee the management of these outlets, allowing citizens to benefit from reduced prices during the holy month.

This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on residents, particularly as demand for essential food items rises during Ramadan.

Additionally, the Punjab government has revised school timings for public and private institutions during Ramadan.

According to the official notification, schools will operate from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM from Monday to Thursday and Saturday, while on Fridays, they will close at 12:30 PM.

For double-shift schools, the first shift will run from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the second shift from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. On Fridays, the second shift will begin at 2:30 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM.
