Afghanistan’s Mujeeb ur Rahman Joins Pakistan Super League Roster

Pakistan Super League (PSL) recently confirmed the acquisition of Afghanistan’s enigmatic spinner, Mujeeb ur Rahman, for the upcoming season. This announcement was shared via the league’s official Twitter account.

Rahman, a prodigious 22-year-old off-spinner, has made a mark in T20 leagues across the globe, showcasing his talent in India, England, Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh, and the United Arab Emirates. With an impressive record of over 200 T20 matches, Rahman has taken 244 wickets, maintaining an outstanding average of 23.60 and an economy rate of 6.70.

Displaying prowess and precision, Rahman forms a formidable trio alongside fellow Afghan spinners Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi, wreaking havoc on numerous international opponents. Notably, Rahman’s exceptional performance at the tender age of 16, where he claimed 5 wickets in the U19 Asia Cup final, secured Afghanistan’s victory in their inaugural Asian event.

Renowned for his versatility and threat with the new ball, Rahman’s ability to spin the ball in both directions adds to his prowess. His capability to seamlessly switch from off-spin to a straight delivery with the same bowling action poses a significant challenge for opposing openers.

Mujeeb ur Rahman’s inclusion in the PSL lineup adds depth and expertise, further amplifying the anticipation and excitement surrounding the league’s forthcoming season.
