After much debate, Zaka Ashraf was finally appointed Interim Chairman of the PCB.

The elections for chairman were scheduled for June 27 but had to be postponed due to multiple writ petitions filed in various high courts by former committee members.

To address these issues, the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) sent a summary to the Prime Minister, who serves as patron-in-chief.

The situation deteriorated when the Balochistan High Court imposed a stay order without allowing the opposing party to state their case.

The summary ascribed the lawsuits on the incumbent election commissioner, Ahmed Shehzad Farooq Rana’s apparent “inefficiency.”

In light of future events and critical decisions at the International Council of Cricket, the ministry advocated the formation of a new four-month committee.

The PCB board is made up of ten members, including representatives from several areas and agencies, as well as two members appointed by the Prime Minister.

The following is a list of newly appointed members.
