Amna Ilyas considers legal action over 'Hum Tum Aur Wo' film's release

Amna Ilyas, a prominent actor and model, recently expressed her disapproval on Instagram regarding the intended cinematic release of the telefilm “Hum Tum Aur Wo” this Eidul Fitr. In the telefilm, she shares the lead role with Junaid Khan.

Emphatically stating that the project was always conceived as a telefilm and not intended for theatrical release, Amna underscored, “It’s not a cinema film […] I signed a telefilm and expected nothing more.” She indicated her dissatisfaction with the decision to release it in cinemas, expressing her belief that such a move deviated from the original intent of the project.

While acknowledging certain alterations made during production, Amna asserted her opposition to the idea of a theatrical release. She highlighted discrepancies in technical aspects that were initially promised but later changed, voicing her objection to such modifications.

Amna clarified that her objection was not about the quality of the work but rather about maintaining the integrity of the original format and script essence. She concluded her statement with a warning of potential legal action if the film proceeded with its theatrical release as initially planned.

Apart from Amna and Junaid, the cast of “Hum Tum Aur Wo” includes Raja Yasir, Saad Khan, and Neni Abbasi. Penned and directed by Noman Khan, the film delves into the intertwined lives of three friends across Pakistan.
