The annual matriculation examinations commenced on Friday across Punjab, with a total of 2,694,281 candidates participating. According to statistics from the Education department, 1,390,592 girls and 1,297,689 boys are taking part in the matriculation exam.
A total of 4,088 examination centers have been established for the matriculation examination, including 14 centers in different jails across the province. The 10th-grade exams began with the History of Pakistan paper, followed by Punjabi on March 2, English Compulsory on March 4, and Arabic on March 5. The examination period will continue with various subjects and is set to conclude on March 18.

For 9th-grade students, the exams are scheduled to begin on March 19, including the English paper exam on March 20, Arabic on March 21, and Pakistan Studies on April 4.
The morning session exams start at 8:30 am, and the afternoon session begins at 1:30 pm. On Fridays, afternoon exams will commence at 2:30 pm. The successful conduct of these examinations is a crucial component of the academic calendar and assessment process in Punjab.
