ATC Orders Abid Sher Ali's Arrest Warrants

A judge from the Anti-Terrorism Court in Faisalabad has issued arrest warrants for PML-N leader Abid Sher Ali, as he failed to comply with the court’s order to appear in a case filed against him by a citizen. The court has directed the police to ensure Ali’s presence before the court on January 11.

The applicant, Muhammad Adnan, claimed in his court application that Abid Sher Ali and three accomplices were summoned by Madina Town Police SP regarding allegations of fraud related to property sale. Adnan alleged that when a police constable, Imtiaz Ahmad, attempted to deliver the SP’s summons, Ali threatened to set the SP’s office on fire. Adnan requested the court to instruct the police to register a case against Ali under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

The suspect was found with several fake visa stickers from different countries and was handed over to the FIA’s anti-human trafficking cell for further investigation.
