According to Newsguru, an avalanche atop Shunter Top in Gilgit-Baltistan’s (G-B) Astore area on Saturday resulted in at least 10 fatalities and 10 injuries.

A control room has reportedly been built up in the area to ease rescue efforts and pull victims from the rubble. The incident’s victims, according to officials, were nomads.
