Bahrain Takes a Stand: Israeli Ambassador Expelled, Economic Ties removed

Bahrain’s parliament made an official declaration announcing the withdrawal of its ambassador from Israel and the termination of trade relations with Tel Aviv.

As per a statement released on the website of the Bahraini parliament, the Israeli ambassador has left Bahrain, and Bahrain has simultaneously decided to sever all commercial connections with Israel. Furthermore, Bahrain is recalling its envoy from Israel.

The statement underscores that Bahrain’s decision is rooted in its unwavering and longstanding support for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. It reads, “The Council of Representatives confirms that the Israeli ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain has left our country, and Bahrain has also opted for the return of its ambassador from Israel. The cessation of economic relations has been resolved.”

“The Council underscores that the persistence of conflict and military operations, along with the ongoing Israeli escalation in violation of international humanitarian law, compels the Council to advocate for additional measures that safeguard the lives of innocent individuals and civilians in Gaza and all Palestinian territories,” the statement further emphasizes.
