Beijing Cautions Against Undermining Pak-China Relations, Pledges Support for 'Iron-Brother' Amid Terrorism

A tragic suicide bombing in north-west Pakistan has resulted in the loss of six lives, as terrorists deliberately targeted a convoy of Chinese engineers involved in a dam project. This marks the third attack on Chinese interests within the nation.

In response to the horrific incident, Beijing has vehemently condemned the suicide attack, particularly mourning the loss of five Chinese nationals. The Chinese government has urged for a thorough investigation into the incident and emphasized that any attempts to undermine the cooperation between Pakistan and China will be futile.

Calling upon Pakistani authorities to swiftly investigate the attack, apprehend the perpetrators, and ensure the safety of Chinese nationals and projects, China has reiterated its steadfast support for Pakistan in combating terrorism.

In solidarity, civil-military officials in Pakistan have denounced the attack, extending their condolences to the families of the victims. The robust strategic partnership between China and Pakistan, notably underscored by the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), remains pivotal for Pakistan’s development.

Despite this unfortunate series of attacks targeting CPEC, it is believed that the perpetrators will not succeed in disrupting the multi-billion-dollar project.

The safety of Chinese workers in Pakistan has long been a concern, particularly in the wake of previous attacks targeting Chinese interests within the country.
