Bank Alfalah, one of Pakistan’s largest commercial banks, has joined with Habib University to establish a scholarship fund for students pursuing higher education.
To provide financial help to worthy students and ensure their access to education, the fund will pay all educational expenditures throughout the four-year degree programme.

Bank Alfalah has offered a yearly contribution of PKR 6.4 million (a total of PKR 25.6 million) over four years to help select applicants pursuing courses in social sciences and engineering.
As part of the programme, four high-achieving and worthy students will be given equal educational chances, with a focus on women and differently-abled applicants to promote inclusivity. The award recipients will be known as ‘Alfalah Scholars’.

The Bank’s scholarship fund is associated with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through encouraging inclusive and quality education (SDG 4) and developing partnerships for the goals (SDG 17).
Through Bank Alfalah activities, the scholarship programme will provide scholarship students and Habib University students with hands-on experience to enhance their four-year educational journey.
In addition, the Bank intends to hold workshops at Habib University, inviting faculty and academics to address digital banking, financial inclusion, and green banking issues.
