The federal government has reduced petrol and diesel prices for the first half of September.
Following this adjustment, the new petrol price is Rs259.10 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs262.75 per litre.

This marks the third consecutive decrease in fuel prices, with petrol having dropped by a total of Rs16.5 since July 30. In the last review, petrol and diesel prices were cut by Rs8.47 and Rs6.70 per litre, respectively.
Earlier reports suggested a possible reduction of up to Rs6 per litre, but the government ultimately decreased prices by Rs3.32.
