The European Commission has approved policy guidelines for petroleum imports via Customs Bonded Storage Facilities.

Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue, presided over a meeting of the Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Tuesday.

The ECC studied, discussed, and accepted a summary of the Petroleum Division’s policy guidelines for import on the account of a foreign supplier via customs bonded storage facilities

The committee also discussed and approved a Rs. 200 million technical extra grant in favour of the Department of the Auditor General of Pakistan (DAGP) to cover employee-related expenses.

The ECC examined the Ministry of Interior’s summary and authorised a technical supplemental grant of Rs. 3813.95 million for ration bills, i.e. Rs. 2989.37 million for FC KP(North) and Rs. 824.58 million for FC KP(South).

The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar, Minister of State for Petroleum Mr. Musadik Masood Malik, SAPM on Finance Mr. Tariq Bajwa, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Economy Mr. Bilal Azhar Kayani, Federal Secretaries, and other senior authorities.
