Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, made history by inaugurating the 3rd Ningxia International Friendship Citizen Forum in Yinchuan, the capital of the Ningxia province in China.
This marked him as the first Pakistani Chief Minister to inaugurate the Ningxia International Friendship Forum.
CM Naqvi received a warm welcome upon his arrival at the conference hall of Xuhui. During his address at the forum, CM Naqvi emphasized the importance of Pakistan-China relations in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region. He highlighted the strong and strategic partnership between Pakistan and China, emphasizing that their friendship and cooperation would continue to grow.
The CM also acknowledged the 10th anniversary of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the Belt and Road initiative, emphasizing the need for the completion of special economic zones and the expeditious progress of the Gwadar Port. He encouraged investors, industrialists, and traders to play a vital role in advancing CPEC and Belt and Road development projects.
CM Naqvi expressed his gratitude to the Communist Party and the people of Ningxia for hosting the friendship forum. He stressed the importance of the forum in promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between Pakistan and China.
Naqvi highlighted the historical and cultural ties between the two countries, emphasizing the significance of preserving and promoting this friendship. He noted the strong relations between the provinces and cities of Pakistan and China, which have laid the foundation for future cooperation in economics, trade, and tourism.
The CM also mentioned the growing bilateral trade between Pakistan and China, with Pakistan being China’s largest trade partner. He expressed the commitment of both countries to continue the high-quality progress of CPEC for mutual benefit and praised the rapid development of ongoing projects.
