All public sector colleges, universities, and other educational institutions in Punjab that are administered by the Higher Education Department will be closed on May 11 and 12 (Thursday and Friday).
The province’s Higher Education Department stated in a notification that the decision was made owing to the current security situation in Punjab.
Furthermore, the papers for the Secondary School First Annual Examination 2023 (Part-I), which were scheduled to be held on Thursday and Friday, have been postponed until further notice.
It is worth noting that earlier in the day, the Interior Ministry approved army deployment in Punjab to confront the deteriorating law and order situation.
