Diddy Accused of Physical Violence in Disturbing Surveillance Footage

Disturbing surveillance footage released on Friday depicts Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs engaging in physical violence against his then-girlfriend Casandra Ventura, confirming allegations she previously made in a lawsuit settled late last year.

Combs faces multiple civil lawsuits accusing him of being a violent sexual predator who utilized alcohol and drugs to control his victims. Earlier this year, federal agents raided his residences. The 2016 video, obtained and disclosed by CNN, captures the rap mogul hitting, dragging, and kicking the singer known as Cassie. Ventura’s recent lawsuit detailed over a decade of coercion through physical force and drugs, including an alleged rape in 2018.

In the footage, Ventura exits a hotel room, pursued by Combs, who appears to be wearing only a towel. He throws her to the ground and assaults her. Douglas Wigdor, Ventura’s attorney, released a statement praising her bravery in coming forward and condemning Combs’ behavior.

Ventura filed a federal lawsuit against Combs last fall, which was settled out of court. However, this lawsuit sparked further sexual assault allegations against the hip-hop star. Ventura met Combs at 19, signing with his label and entering a romantic relationship with him.

Combs has vehemently denied all accusations. His lawyer did not respond immediately to AFP’s request for comment. In March, armed agents conducted raids on Combs’ luxury properties in Miami and Los Angeles, signaling a potential investigation into the rapper’s conduct.
