Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced a major initiative on Wednesday to outsource 14,000 public schools in an effort to enhance the quality of education throughout the province.
Speaking at a Lahore event, she commended the education ministry’s efforts and highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships in tackling the ongoing challenges in the education sector.

She emphasized that these partnerships are crucial for providing improved educational services to students and ensuring schools meet modern standards.
CM Maryam also criticized the previous government during her address, accusing them of embezzling Rs1 billion from the Punjab Text Book Board. She called for a formal corruption case to be launched against the former education minister, holding them responsible for the misappropriation of funds.
Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed her government’s commitment to overhauling the education system, stating, “We are determined to reform and transform education in Punjab.” She promised that education reforms would remain a top priority for her administration to benefit future generations.
