The Punjab government has approved major revisions to the Class 9 and 11 educational syllabus for the upcoming academic year.
The Ministry of Education issued a notification on Sunday detailing these substantial changes, which will be managed by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB).

The notification instructs the PCTB to produce new textbooks that reflect the revised curriculum, impacting subjects such as English, Urdu, Islamiat, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, and Computer Science.
A key change is the introduction of a focused study on Pakistan in the Class 10 curriculum, highlighting the country’s historical and cultural importance. These updates are designed to modernize educational content and align it with current academic standards and regional relevance.
The PCTB is expected to finalize and distribute the new textbooks before the academic year begins, ensuring that both students and educators are ready for the updated syllabus.
