She also highlighted the graduate visa route, which permits international students to stay in the UK for two years after graduation, or three years for those completing PhDs. This initiative aims to allow graduates to work, live, and contribute to the UK.

UK Ambassador to the UAE, Edward Hobart, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the valuable contributions of international students to the UK’s educational landscape.

He noted the increase in applications from UAE students, with 3,690 submissions received by January 31 for undergraduate courses starting in September 2024, reflecting growing trust in the UK’s education system.

Hobart also affirmed the Labour government’s continued support for the graduate visa route, highlighting it as evidence of the UK’s commitment to high-quality education and inclusive communities.

The policy aims to enhance the UK’s appeal as a destination for international talent, ensuring that students receive excellent education and have ample opportunities to integrate into the professional world after graduation.
