Federal Government Offers Subsidized Scotties for Working Women and Girl Students

The program will facilitate the provision of discounted scooters and motorcycles to 22,000 women across Pakistan. These vehicles will be made available at subsidized rates, with a monthly payment of only Rs. 4,500. This step is part of the government’s efforts to ensure greater accessibility and independence for women, enabling them to travel conveniently and securely.

The distribution process of the scooties will be carried out with utmost transparency to ensure fairness and accountability. Thanks to the personal interest and dedication of Shahbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister’s Women on Wheels Project will be launched soon at the federal level. Women between the ages of 18 and 55 will be eligible to apply for the program, allowing a wide range of women to benefit from this initiative.

Nilofar Bakhtiar, the Chairperson of the National Commission for Dignity, emphasized that funds have already been allocated for 22,000 scooters. The distribution of Scotties will commence shortly, adhering to a transparent process that ensures fairness and equality.
