Senator Mahmood emphasized the importance of delivering cheap Hajj in times of inflation during his speech, describing it as an essential service for pilgrims. He thanked King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their assistance in making this year’s Hajj arrangements possible.

Senator Mahmood also discussed the efforts made over the last two months to improve pilgrim amenities. Furthermore, the minister promised that any excess monies from pilgrims’ expenses would be reimbursed, and he pledged the distribution of free medicines worth millions of rupees through pharmaceutical collaboration.

The success of this year’s Hajj was partly credited to the arrangements made by the Saudi government, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, which received global acclaim.

Senator Mahmood described how he spent time with pilgrims without any formality, addressing their problems. He reaffirmed that no one was given a free Hajj, and actions were taken to end authorities’ mismanagement of pilgrims’ monies.
