Amid a series of setbacks for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), a founding member and former MNA, Munaza Hassan, has publicly announced her departure from the party, citing her profound concerns about the nationwide turmoil triggered by the events of May 9.

In a statement released recently, Munaza Hassan made it clear that she is severing ties with PTI, a party she had a hand in establishing.

She bluntly expressed her dissatisfaction with PTI’s response to the riots, stating, “I announce my separation from Tehreek Insaaf.”

In her firm stance, she went on to strongly condemn the events that unfolded on May 9, revealing a sense of patriotism by affirming, “As a patriotic Pakistani, I am proud of my army.”

Sources close to Munaza Hassan have hinted at the possibility of her aligning with Istehkam-e-Pakistan upon her return from her time abroad.
