Previously, on February 7, 2022, the FSC had rejected a petition submitted by Shahid Orkazai, citing non-maintainability and non-compliance with the Federal Shariat Court (Procedure) Rules 1981. Orkazai’s petition had sought a legal ruling regarding Imran Khan’s marriage, based on ten questions related to Islamic laws and constitutional provisions.

The court had found some of these questions to be irrational and unrelated, with two being considered unclear and difficult to understand. Nonetheless, Orkazai has now filed an appeal for a review of the court’s initial decision.
