Green Pakistan Initiative Integrates State-of-the-Art Agricultural Technology from China

As part of the Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI), a substantial shipment of advanced agricultural machinery has entered Pakistan from China through the Khunjerab Pass. The GPI program is designed to introduce innovation to the country’s irrigation system. A convoy, consisting of smart model farms developed in Cholistan, has reached Pakistan from Khunjerab. The shipment includes 20 tractors, drip irrigation systems, hose reel-based irrigation systems, satellite, and drone intelligent control platforms.

 

Additionally, the convoy comprises smart agriculture management platforms and Internet of Things (IoT) technology for agriculture. The journey of this convoy began in China, covering a distance of 5800 kilometers. To reach its final destination in Cholistan, the convoy will travel an additional 1500 kilometers.

This initiative, conducted under the Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI), is anticipated to contribute to the prosperity and development of Pakistan.
