Despite the hefty budget and star-studded cast, “Heeramandi” has faced criticism from viewers, particularly regarding Urdu pronunciation and historical inaccuracies in its portrayal of Lahore’s red-light district. While some were impressed by the show’s visual splendor, others felt that it fell short of expectations, with some criticizing Bhansali for overindulgence in grandeur.

Nevertheless, the series has undoubtedly been a financial success for its cast, who have benefitted from the significant investment made in the production.
