Imran Khan may be offered to leave Pakistan without political return

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, is reportedly facing a crossroads in his political career. It’s likely that Imran Khan will be given a unique opportunity to leave his home country and establish himself abroad. Imran Khan, renowned for his shift from cricket star to political leader with a populist stance, is currently dealing with a political landscape that has closed its doors to him due to his disqualification from office and a subsequent imprisonment in a corruption case. According to a report from Daily Jang, reliable sources suggest that this option for Imran Khan to exit Pakistan is being actively considered.

Efforts are reportedly in motion to reshape the political scenario, allowing Imran Khan’s party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), to participate in the upcoming national elections. However, it appears that this avenue won’t include a return to mainstream politics for Imran Khan himself. The report indicates that influential leaders from major parties are expected to be sidelined from the forthcoming elections.

This comes at a time when the leaders of the former ruling party, Pakistan Muslim League (N), are pushing for their leader, Nawaz Sharif, who is currently residing in the UK for medical reasons, to become the next prime minister of the country.

Imran Khan’s stance :

Imran Khan, who is currently grappling with political challenges, has vehemently denied any intention of seeking refuge abroad. Despite historical instances of politicians fleeing their home country after facing domestic convictions, Khan has stated that he remains committed to his country and has no plans to move abroad. This declaration comes after the previous government placed Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, and numerous members of his party on a no-fly list. Earlier reports had suggested that Khan might be exploring options for asylum in the United States or considering settling in another country as part of a settlement with Pakistan’s establishment.
