On Wednesday, a horrific tragedy occurred at Bhati Gate in Lahore. A house fire killed several family members, leaving six children and three women trapped. The lone member who survived leaped from the building.
The fire was started by an explosion in the refrigerator’s compressor, according to rescue personnel. The smoke became trapped due to insufficient ventilation, aggravating the catastrophic situation.
Adil Hussain, Saira Bano, Farzana, Amber, Ghazal, Fatima, and a seven-month-old baby were among those identified as casualties. Authorities are attempting to locate the remaining victims.
When Adil’s father received the upsetting call at 2:45 a.m., he remembered his son’s frantic cry for aid. When he arrived on the scene, he was shocked to see the complete devastation. Among those killed were his son, wife, daughter-in-law, her two children, his elder daughter, and her four children.
The remains will be returned to their families once the identification process and legal formalities are finished, according to the police. Meanwhile, the rescue squad is working hard to cool down the charred remains of the destroyed structure.
Punjab’s temporary chief minister (CM), Mohsin Naqvi, has taken note of the occurrence and has asked a report from the commissioner. He has launched an investigation and sent his profound sympathies to the bereaved family.
