In Pakistan, Eid-Ul-Adha 2024 Will Be Celebrated On June 17

The Zil Hajj moon has been spotted in Pakistan, announcing that Eid ul Azha will occur on June 17 (Monday), declared by the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad on Friday.

This declaration came following a committee meeting held at the main offices of the Pakistan Meteorological Department in Karachi.

The commencement of the last Islamic month is scheduled for June 8 in Pakistan. The Meteorological Office has forecasted Eidul Adha to take place on June 17, 2024 (Monday), with high chances of the moon being sighted on June 7.

A day before, the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia declared June 7 as the first day of Zil Hajj, marking the observation of the crescent moon on Thursday evening.

June 7 signifies the initiation of the Hajj pilgrimage season this year, with Eidul Adha commencing on the 10th of Zil Hajj (June 16). Arafat Day, traditionally observed on the ninth day of the Islamic month, falls on June 15.
