In two days, the price of gold in Pakistan has risen by more than Rs. 10,000 per tola.

On Friday, the price of gold in Pakistan jumped sharply for the second consecutive day, bringing the two-day gain to more over Rs. 10,000 per tola.

The price of gold (24 carats) increased by Rs. 6,500 per tola to Rs. 214,500, according to data issued by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), while the price of 10 kilos increased by Rs. 5,574 to Rs. 183,900.

The precious metal’s price rose by Rs. 800 per tola on Monday before plunging by Rs. 5,000 per tola during the next two days. Yesterday, the price of gold increased by Rs. 4,000 per tola. With today’s increase, the price of gold has risen by Rs. 6,300 per tola over the last week, with an additional Rs. 10,500 per tola gained in the last two days.

By 1301 GMT, spot gold had fallen 0.2 percent to $1,956.29 per ounce, while US gold futures had fallen 0.2 percent to $1,960.60.
