Investigation Committee Recommends MDCAT Retake

The committee tasked with investigating the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) paper leak has presented its recommendations to the Sindh Health Department.

Following the conclusion of its investigation, the committee has proposed that the test be re-conducted, and those found responsible for the paper leak be penalized. A summary of the inquiry team’s recommendations has also been submitted to the provincial cabinet.

This development comes after the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government decided to re-conduct the MDCAT test due to instances of cheating involving Bluetooth devices.

Additionally, the government plans to involve the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the provincial Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) in the investigation, targeting government officials, influential individuals, students, and parents suspected of involvement in the scandal. If evidence supports the charges, both the FIA and ACE will file cases against them.
