Islamabad Police Introduces Mobile App for Crime Control

The Islamabad police have introduced a mobile application called ICT-15, following the direction of Caretaker Minister for Interior, Sarfaraz Bugti. This app is designed to enhance public safety and crime prevention efforts in Islamabad.

Key features of the ICT-15 app include:

  1. Reporting Illegal Activities: Citizens can use the app to easily report illegal activities to the Islamabad police. The department has committed to responding promptly and taking necessary actions on all complaints submitted through the app.
  2. Registration Process: To use the app, users need to download it from the Google Play Store and register. Registration requires providing their name, email address, CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card), and phone number. Users will receive a one-time password (OTP) on their mobile number to complete the registration process.
  3. SOS Panic Alert: The app features an SOS panic alert button, allowing users to quickly seek assistance in emergency situations.
  4. Media Sharing: Users can share videos, pictures, and voice recordings through the app to provide evidence or additional information related to a reported incident.

In a video message, IG Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan encouraged residents of the federal capital to use the ICT-15 app to report various types of crimes and concerns. This initiative aims to streamline communication between the public and law enforcement agencies, ultimately contributing to enhanced security and crime prevention in Islamabad.
