Islamabad Police Targets Over 700 Accounts Against Hate

The Violent Extremism Prevention Unit (VEPU) under Islamabad Police has been proactively tackling online hate and extremist content.

In the past six months, VEPU has identified and requested the closure of over 700 accounts spreading religious and terrorism-related material on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, with 200 accounts already blocked.
