Jashn-e-Jaun Elia covers a wide range of genres.

Panellists engaged in lively literary discussions on the second day of the three-day Jashn-e-Jaun Elia, which was co-organized by the Lahore Arts Council and Ishqabad.

The day included historiography debates, a conversation with writer Asghar Nadeem Syed, an investigation of the history of journalism, a memorial to the late poet Amjad Islam Amjad, and events inspired by Jaun Elia’s work.

The audience was also captivated by discussions on modern Urdu Ghazal and fiction, storytelling, soulful Punjabi poetry by Sultan Mahmood Ashafta, reflections on the Indus Valley Civilisation, a debate with writer Anwar Maqsood, analysis of Majeed Amjad’s poetry, and a Mushaira.

The sessions honoured many literary genres.

On Sunday, the celebration will come to an end. Muhammad Saleem Sagar, Executive Director of Alhamra Centre, stressed his commitment to provide a welcoming environment for both local and international players.
