Jennifer Lopez announced on Friday that her This Is Me… Live summer concert tour has been canceled, as she has decided to take time to be with her family. Representatives from Live Nation confirmed that the On the Floor singer needs a break to focus on “her children, family, and close friends.”

Lopez expressed her feelings on her website, onthejlo.com, stating that she is “completely heartsick and devastated” about disappointing her fans. “Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again,” she wrote.

The tour cancellation occurs amid widespread media speculation about her marriage to actor Ben Affleck, with rumors suggesting their relationship is experiencing significant difficulties that could lead to separation. Lopez had already canceled seven dates of the North American tour in early May. The 54-year-old artist was set to perform songs from her recent 2024 album, This is Me…Now, which was intended to complement the Amazon MGM documentary of the same name.

Both the album and the documentary were released in February, with the album reaching number 38 on the Billboard album charts. The tour was originally scheduled to start in Orlando, Florida, on June 26 and conclude on August 17 at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Reports indicate that Lopez and Affleck are navigating a challenging period in their marriage, yet they remain dedicated to prioritizing their children and family. Despite living apart, the couple recently reunited to attend Affleck’s daughter Violet’s high school graduation.

The couple has not been seen together since May 19. However, sources revealed to PEOPLE that Lopez is particularly affected by the situation.
