Following the decision, Deputy Commissioner Hasan Waqar Cheema visited Kallar Syedan and participated in the oath-taking ceremony.

Cheema administered the oath to the newly appointed numberdars and expressed that the revival of the numberdari system will improve efficiency in the revenue system. The reinstatement of this ancient system will help prevent improper allocation of family land, serve as a witness in property registrations, identify illegal occupation of government land, and assist in resolving disputes at the local, village, and regional levels, he added.

Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of providing citizens with information on revenue-related matters to reduce their visits to government offices. He assured action against individuals who hinder the resolution of public issues. With the revival of the numberdari system, the extensive authority of revenue department officials has been eliminated, requiring patwaris (revenue officials) to seek confirmation from the numberdar for finalizing land transactions, individual records, deaths, and land documents.
