In a letter addressed to the Punjab chief secretary, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Syed Qasim Ali Shah expressed concerns about the health of Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan. This comes after Imran Khan claimed that his wife had been poisoned while being held at the Bani Gala sub-jail. Khan demanded a medical examination for her by a doctor from Shaukat Khanum Hospital.

The letter requested the Punjab government to allow a panel of doctors, including specialists from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, to conduct a detailed examination of Bushra Bibi. The purpose of the check-up is to confirm or refute the suspicion of poisoning through food supply.
